Artist Statement

I believe that beauty surrounds us … if only we look. My effort is to see this beauty and then to welcome you into this world. I want my work to involve and interest you, and leave you with something which is a greater love for this small green planet … and all that’s in it … which is enough for several lifetimes.

I agree with the Japanese poet Shiki who, in advice to beginning Haiku writers, said: “Remember perspective. Large things are large, but small things are also large if seen close up.”
